month nine

My baby girl is now 9 months old!  (picture with Andrea!)  She is so much fun!  She still only weighs about 14 pounds but eats all the time!  I think its just because she is so hyper that she burns it all off!  She eats anything I give her, not picky at all!  And she is really good at feeding herself... with a big fat mess to clean up afterward, but she is so happy.  She is very busy during the day, taking just one short nap during the day, making it hard to get much done but she does sleep well at night!  She is suddenly no fun to take to church, or anywhere public for that matter, where she can not get down and move!  She has figured out the stairs, thanks to daddy's discovery, but up only for now!  She loves to be held in Ryan's hand and she stands there for the longest time.  We keep bringing out new toys from the boys to keep her entertained, and me and Ryan joke that we swear she doesn't like toys, she would much rather ripe apart a magazine or pull out all our DVDs.  Needless to say, we have no wrapped presents under the tree, for now.  She loves to play with her brothers, Zane can make her laugh by just looking at her, maybe because he doesn't usually give her much attention, so she tries hard for the hard to get...typical girl.  Noah is always picking her up and carrying her around, he even dropped her on her face on the tile floor the other day.  We all love having her in our family and I especially love that I get to dress up my baby doll each day and play house.

Noah had his school program, performing carols, he did really good and was really cute!  I got to go help in his class for their christmas activity day, talk about craft overload...and if anyone has taken their kid to funshine they understand, but it was really fun to be there with him.  He brought home this gift to Ryan and I, a cook book of class recipes, how adorable is Noah!?!

{Couples Christmas Party}

Ryan and I got to go to super fun party with some friends, we had dinner, play some hilarious games including the newlywed game, which Ryan and I rock at, there was a white elephant gift exchange involving lots of laughs and we got to build gingerbread houses together as a couple, it was so fun!  And probably the only time we would ever do that together so I really enjoyed it!

by the way...the gingerbread house only lasted one day with my 3 boys!

We were invited to go late night sledding with Josh & Rakelly family for family night and had hot chocolate after with a VERY entertaining reenactment of the Nativity!

Zane, Zane, oh so cute in his Christmas school performance!  We enjoyed the fun Christmas party and the carols of the kids.  It was fun!  Good job Zaners!

Santa Claus was coming to down in the fire truck down main street!  The boys took their lists and folded them up into envelops and were excited to take them to Santa!  We waited at the downtown park as Santa pulled up in the fire truck and came out to join the children, Zane quickly got his list out of my purse and waited patiently to hand it to him right then, I guess not realizing he would get the chance to sit on his lap later.  

All the kids gathered around as Santa knelt down and opened his list right there to see what was on it... It was really sweet!  They then followed him to the Library where they got the chance to sit on his lap and tell him (again) what they wanted for Christmas.  I was excited to see how Bella would react to Santa, and she could have cared less.  The boys asked for (RANDOMLY) zane: a diego backpack. noah: a mickey mouse clubhouse train.  Nothing the real Santa was planning to get!

Mark & Stephanie invited us to the Jazz game, VIP style, with dinner in the sports club before and great seats.  We had a lot of fun!  I even wore my Kyle Korver shirt, excited to watch, then Ryan let me know he was injured and not playing.  They won and it was a good time.

thanksgiving 2009

Sweet Bella did not feel good for her 1st Thanksgiving... she had the croup and was pretty miserable, unfortunately all the urgent care clinics were closed and we were really trying to avoid the E.R.   She was pretty chill all day long and was good as long as I was holding her.  She also could not get enough of grandmas sweet potatoes!




We celebrated thanksgiving this year with my family at my mom's house and it was a very relaxing, easy, good time!  I was asked to bring pies, and I made apple, two pumpkin and a pear pie which is so, so yummy!  Most people are not sure about pear pie and usually don't try it, which is good and bad for me, leftover pie but then I eat it all!   After our feast we pulled out the Black Friday ads and planned our attack for early the next morning, we had pie, then played games for awhile and everyone was going to see the Christmas Carol, we chose not to go and take Bella and Noah was asleep so Zane went with the gang and thought it was good, and because Avery & Mitchell were sleeping over at grandma, Zane was excited to do the same.  Noah stayed asleep from 5:45 until the next morning, CRaZy!  Bella had a rough night which involved pacing back and forth outside on the deck and a long shower,  I got her back to sleep and could not sleep myself so I decided to head to Wal-mart at 5am, get the deals I was after then take Bella to the doctor at 6.  Later that day, the girls went out to lunch for Kameo and my sweet cousin Tela's Birthdays,  we had fun and I was super ready to sleep that night.

I had picked Noah and Gabby up from preschool and while driving home I asked them what they had learned and they told me "the letter N"  then they went on with their own conversation... 

noah "gabby do you know that the letter N is my letter"

gabby "ya and the letter G is my letter, like the letter on the mountain, that is the same as mine."

noah " I know I am waiting for them to put the letter N on the mountain!"  

It is so cute when my little boys are playing "guys" and they have to go to the bathroom, they have to pause their game.... by just yelling pause.  

Noah was very mad at me because I had taken away a toy he and Zane were fighting over, he looked at me, folded his arms and while yelling and screaming said "im not going to be your mother anymore!!!"  Its hard not to laugh back at them when they react like that.

month eight

Bella is now 8 months old!  She weighs close to 14 pounds.  She is a happy baby!  She doesn't sleep more than an hour during the day but sleeps well through the night, sometimes waking up just once.  She is very, very busy and is pulling herself up on everything, enough that we had to lower her crib already and she thinks she is so big.  She will get up to a toy and stand there for quite awhile, because she thinks its fun and because she is not sure how to get down... falling happens.  She is not crawling like a normal crawl, instead she does a butterfly/flop all throughout the house.  She eats whatever I give her and officially has stinky diapers now.  Getting her dressed or changing her diaper is now like a wrestling match: Mom vs. Bella.  Still no teeth.  We all just love her so much!

New Moon

On Friday, I opened my door to find Edward delivering my tickets to New Moon!

New Moon was so good and so much fun!  My friends neighbor had rented out a theater and went all out!  They had decorated the theater, had contests and prizes and brought Edward, Jacob, and Bella!  

Twilight

My girlfriends and I had a Twilight party, pre-New Moon.  We wanted to play the twilight board game and refresh our twilight facts before the 2nd one, so the we decided it would be fun to do dinner too!  We had mushroom ravioli, Edwards blood punch and wolf cupcakes!  You could chose to sit were you pleased, whether you were Team Jacob or Team Edward.  We made our shirts for the New Moon premier and they look super cute!  And we of course played the game.  Melissa brought these yummy gift bags filled with a love triangle chocolate bar Jacob/Bella/Edward, and Edward and Jacob truffle bars flavored cool mint and warm raspberry,  I love it!  We had a great time!  I love my cute friends.


The three babies came along and I had to get a picture to show how tiny Bella is, Left, Raef 2 1/2 months, middle-Tavake 7 weeks, Bella- almost 8 months!

primary program

Zane participated in the Primary Program on sunday and he memorized his part so well and was so excited about getting on the stand.  We told him to bring a little toy with him in his pocket to keep his hands busy while he was on the stand and possibly distract him from not using his manners.  He of course went right up there and started picking his nose...I truly think it is a nervous habit for him because his finger goes to his nose during his school programs too.  He quickly stopped and did use his manners throughout the rest of the program.  He got up to say his part, started off with the wrong word and heard his voice and froze for just a second but then finished with the help of a leader, he did good, besides the fact that he didn't sing any of the songs...

Happy Birthday to the man in our lives

We had a fun day celebrating Daddy's birthday.  The boys we dead set on Daddy having a football party.  The day of his birthday we went had to go to the store to buy daddy a gift, and get cupcakes for tonight because his party wasn't until saturday, so we could celebrate with Aaron and family cause it was his birthday too!  

mom: boys, what are you going to get daddy for his birthday?

Noah: I'm going to get him swedish fish! cause its his favorite!

Zane: I'm going to get him a new wallet because he had to make one out of gorilla tape.

  Ryan and I went out to dinner for his birthday and came back for presents and cupcakes, then Saturday we had a super cool football party with the Brady bunch!

We have the best Daddy in the world, we think he is the greatest!!!!   Happy Birthday!
