catch a ball with a mitt. not your face.

We were at Ryan's softball game, even though he wasn't there that night, out of town, my boys still wanted to go with their friends, so we went.  The kids love to gather home run balls and turn them in for a piece of bubble gum.  They were all hanging out in the out field and someone hit a home run, and unfortunately Noah wasn't paying attention and it knocked him right over.  The game stopped, he started screaming, players were jumping over the fence and I was running out there.  I didn't see it hit him, thank goodness!  I just knew it was him at the first cry.  Luckily uncle Josh was there to save him and me:)  He picked him right up and drove us to the hospital.  Couple hours later and a lot of text between Ryan and family members, we left with a BROKEN NOSE & 4 STITCHES, 3 under the the nose and 1 inside his nostril...that one was tricky, 1 doctor,2 nurses and mom holding him down.  He was so tough and brave!  He was so tired and slept most of the time we were at the hospital and we were so lucky, it could have been much worse.  Crazy!
He was happy to go back the ball field the next week and watch the game, just no more home run balls.  He was like a celebrity there!  Players and the league pres. giving him all kids of treats, Noah was loving it and had hardly bruised.
the day after it happened, he said "I should have just ducked behind the fence"

last day of school.....1st day of summer!

Yay, first grade is over! fhew!  I didn't think mom was going to make it. He did so well and I am so proud of him and how big and smart he is getting, cute little stinker.  Zane loved it and got to wear his sweet "Q" signing shirt for the last day.  We made him and rocket bottle filled with goodies to help him celebrate!
First day of S-u-mmerrrr!
We parked out butts outside and stayed there the whole day!

memorial day

We went out to the cutest little cemetery in Cedar Fort to visit the graves of my Grandma and my sweet little cousin, Justin.  My boys were being so cute and respectful as I was telling them why we celebrate memorial day and asked a lot of questions.

On memorial day, we celebrated with more visits to the cemetery to pay our respects. Then with the whole Brady Bunch we went to see RiO, very cute! Afterwards we had our
4th annual wiffle ball game!
It rained during part of it and the little cuties gathered together under the umbrellas while the game played on! Zane was taking it quite seriously this year.

We then headed back to the Bradys for a yummy BBQ and fire with smores', mmmmm!

Noah's 5th birthday

Noah turned FIVE!  He really wanted a owlz baseball birthday and unfortunately the season hadn't started yet, So we did our own owlz game!  We had a ballpark dinner of hot dogs, popcorn, chips, soft pretzels and soda, thanks to our griller, Grandpa, did a fabulous job.  Then Hootz the Owl came walking in and Noah ran way out by himself to meet him, it was so cute, he had been waiting for him and was so excited!!  Hootz stayed and played games, pitched water balloons to the kids and even helped him blow out the candles and open presents, it was AweSome!
Even though the weather was so cold, and mom was totally annoyed, Noah was the happiest boy ever!!! He had a smile on his face the entire day!

After breakfast in bed, upon request of the birthday boy, he came downstairs to find a new bike for his birthday!  He was so excited and has not yet had a bike or ridden without training wheels, he hoped right on and rode all over, all day!  We were all so excited for him and couldn't believe he picked it up, no big deal.  Grandma and Grandpa took him after his party to the dollar store where he gets to pick out 5 things and for ice cream, couldn't wait to go, topped off the whole day!

mothers day

a delightful day for me!  I woke up to my cute family making a yummy breakfast for me and some great gifts, hand picked and bought from my boys, they are so dang cute!!!

We took a not-so-delightful trip to Price for our sweet little niece Maisy, her blessing day.  It was really nice and we enjoyed lunch in the park afterwards and relaxed a bit.

We went to parents later for dinner and enjoyed each others company and celebrated mommyhood!
I love mothers day and love the love I felt this day!
